1 day, 1 place: Orta Lake . 1 jour, 1 lieu: Lac d'Orta . 1 giorno, 1 luogo: Lago d'Orta

We were in Milan for few days and we decided to drive north of Italy, to the lake of Orta and its town Orta San Giulo. One of the most beautiful little town we have been, with a charming old architecture, breathtaking landscapes of the lake and not lot of tourists!

On était à Milan pour quelques jours et nous avons décidé de voyager au nord de l'Italy jusqu'au lac d'Orta et son village Orta San Giulo. L'un des plus beau village que nous avons visité avec une charmante ancienne architecture, des paysages autour du lac incroyables et pas de touristes!

Ci trovavamo a Milano per alcuni giorni e visto che la città la conosciamo già abbiamo deciso di guidare e andare alla scoperta del nord d'Italia esattamente del lago d'Orta e del borgo di Orta San Giulio. Uno dei borghi più belli che abbia mai visto con le sue antiche strade e piazze e soprattutto con delle viste mozzafiato del Lago che per fortuna non sono super affollate di turisti.

10:00 We walked in the little street of the town to join the lake. We found an amazing spot, on a pontoon, next to the town hall. The water goes up so we had to remove our shoes to have access de the pontoon. A peaceful moment together with an amazing view.

10:00 Nous avons marché à travers les rues du village pour rejoindre le lac. Nous avons trouvé un endroit incroyable, sur le ponton, à coté de la mairie. L'eau était monté alors nous avons retiré nos chaussures pour accéder au ponton. Un paisible moment que tout les deux avec une vue incroyable.

10:00 Abbiamo camminato tra gli antichi vicoli fino ad arrivare al lago dove abbiamo trovato un molo immerso nel lago. L'acqua era alta e quindi per raggiungerlo abbiamo deciso di toglierci le scarpe per raggiungerlo. Un posto davvero rilassante con una vista mozzafiato.

11:00 We continued to walk inside the little garden of the town hall where you also have amazing views.

11:00 Nous avons continué de nous balader dans le petit jardin de la mairie où vous pouvez également trouver d'incroyable vue.

11:00 Abbiamo continuato a camminare tra i giardinetti del Comune scoprendo nuove e straordinarie viste del lago.

12:00 We continued to walk to join the principal place of the town, Piazza Motta. We crossed little streets with shops of typical food. We stopped in a little restaurant to enjoy a fresh drink and a charcuterie and cheese platters.

12:00 Nous avons continué de marcher pour rejoindre la place principale du village, la place Piazza Motta. Nous avons traversé des petites rues avec des magasins de produits du terroir. On s'est ensuite arrêté dans un restaurant sur la place et on commandé à boire et un bon plateau fromage et charcuterie.

12:00 Continuando a camminare tra i vicoli e i negozi che vendo prodotti tipici arriviamo alla piazza principale, piazza Motta dove decidiamo di fermarci in un ristorante dove poter ber un paio di drinks e mangiare un bel tagliere di salumi e formaggi.

14:00 We took the boat to travel to the Island of San Giulio. It costs only few euros. It's a nice way to discover also the lake and appreciate different landscapes.

14:00 Nous avons ensuite pris le bateau pour aller à l'ile San Giulio. Ca coute seulement quelques euros. Et c'est un moyen sympa de découvrir le lac et d'apprécier les paysages.

14:00 Giro in barca per arrivare all'isola di San Giulio. Costa solo un paio d'euro. E stato un modo piacevole di scoprire il lago e apprezzare i diversi paesaggi.
